Achiltibuie is under 2 hours’ drive from Inverness taking the A832 then the A835 north towards Ullapool.

From Ullapool the journey is about 45 minutes by car to the village. Take the A835 north for 10 miles or so passing through Ardmair and keep going north. Turn left at the sign on the left side of the road marked 'Achiltibuie and the Summer Isles'. Follow this road, passing the imposing mountain of Stac Pollaidh until you reach Achiltibuie. An Taigh Soluis is in the village on the left after passing the Summer Isles Hotel and near the Coigach Community Hall and the village school. The postcode for your Sat Nav is IV26 2YH.

Bus Travel:  There are bus links between Ullapool and Inverness to serve the Stornoway Ferry timetable so check the relevant timetables. There is also a "Bike Bus" for cyclists that runs to Durness and passes the turnoff to Achiltibuie and the Summer Isles. The local bus from Ullapool stops outside at Polglass.
